Our mission
Propagate the knowledge about the MNUE globally by creating a library environment that provides innovative, healthy and safe, comfortable, open lifelong learning with a collection fund of scientific knowledge that can support research, training and in-depth study.
 
The “Library Development Program of the Mongolian National University of Education /2019-2024/, approved by the order No.A/88 of the Rector of the Mongolian National University of Education on March 27, 2019, is planned and implemented in two stages for 5 years.
 
The goals of the program
The Library of the MNUE is a key partner in supporting the creative initiatives of students, improving the qualifications of researchers, increasing the volume, quantity and potential of research, and their advertising, as well as improving international and domestic assessments.
 
The program is being implementing the followings:
• Creation of a collection fund of the world-level knowledge and information to support the training, research and innovation of the Mongolian National University of Education;
• Improvement of the library services and environment;
• Establishment of equipment, software, and a cumulative search system of the library;  
• Announcement of the knowledge about the MNUE nationally and abroad;
• Enhancement of the legal environment for the library;
• The target is to strengthen and develop human resources, as well as to train new professionals.
 
The “Regulations on the Library”, approved by Order No.A/121 of the Rector of Mongolian National University of Education on July 1, 2020, is in the process of being implemented.
The MNUE carries out its activities in the following branches, such as the School of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, a library of Arkhangai Teacher's School, School of Pre-School Education, the Secondary School affiliated to the MNUE and the Central Library.
 
As an implementation of internationally standardized software, Koha software service that supports MARC21 and Z39.50 protocols is being provided for our readers.
 
The library of the MNUE http://catalog.msue.edu.mn/ provides services for hall service and free choice with a total fund of 232924 collections by 26 librarian-information officers. 
The library is fully equipped to provide a more comfortable environment for readers, modern services are available, and 5 research rooms and home distribution units are organized to meet the needs of the readers.
In the future, we aim to become an educational and methodological center by delivering a quick way to provide information and support for educational activities for researchers and students in order to develop their knowledge and education and have a modern electronic library.
From 2018, based on the needs of students and researchers of the MNUE, there are 1064 books in SPRINGER electronic database, 530 books and 1300 journals in EBSCO electronic database, 60644 e-books, 21000 journals and scientific articles in 7 databases including Research4life.
International renowned electronic databases are also available.

Based on the needs of readers, 30 tablets have been installed for reading research papers, reading high-demand and insufficient volume textbooks, reading and searching e-books, and a total of 1100 textbooks and research materials have been recently digitized.
 
To monitor, certify and protect the intellectual property of students and researchers, as well as to improve their research methods, the “Urkund ourginal complex system that meets international standards to prevent duplication of intellectual property” is being officially applied by the MNUE. These include: master's diploma, doctoral dissertations and copies of scientific journals.
SPSS and T-LAB software for data analysis for researchers is used under license.
